The Beulah Christian Child Care program provides a nurturing environment for children ages six-weeks to five-years. We provide well supervised care from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. year round. Our planned activities are based on child initiated interests and educationally appropriate topics. We demonstrate developmentally suited practices based on NAEYC guidelines. Staffing is provided according to state guidelines and teachers are chosen both for their academic credential as well as their nurturing abilities. Our structural program is approved by the Department of Welfare and operates within the highest of standards.
Infant Care
This room provides care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 months. Children are nurtured at their own developmental level and are supported in their growth with the encouragement of a highly qualified and staff. Not only do educators plan interesting and engaging activities for infants which stimulate their development by introducing new experiences but they also spend time in loving, consistent interactions with each child.
Young Toddler Care
This room provides care for children ages 12 to 24 months. Young toddlers are beginning to be more mobile and spend time exploring their environment. Educators provide a loving, safe and stimulating environment for these children and plan developmentally appropriate activities designed to meet the needs of these curious and busy children.
Toddler Care
Toddler Care
This room provides care for children ages 24-36 months. With the understanding of the toddler child, the well-trained educators in this program seek to provide the kinds of activities that promote and encourage the budding independence of each child in a loving, nurturing environment. They also support learning in all educational domains through a balance of child-initiated and teacher-led activities. Gross motor skills are encouraged through play outside on the playground, in the gross motor classroom or in the large church gym. Toddlers are introduced to a more structured routine and are assisted in learning how to cooperate in a group setting- being supported by staff in engaging in new and appropriate social interactions.
Full Day Threes
This class is for families who need an extended day schedule. Families may schedule for the number of hours that they actually need (from 7:00am-6:00pm) with some minimum requirements but not full blocks of time. This class is designed to meet the developmental needs unique to the three-year-old child in a loving environment and the qualified educators arrange the daily schedule to include both small and large group activities. The balance of child initiated and teacher-directed activities throughout the day ensures an enriching curriculum which addresses all developmental domains and encourages budding social interactions. Children also have scheduled gross-motor time at least twice daily- either outside on the playground, weather permitting, or in the large church gym.
Full Day Fours
This class is also for the families who need an extended day schedule- like the Three’s class mentioned above. Families may schedule for the number of hours they need, with some minimum requirements but not blocks of time. This class is developmentally appropriate for the four-year-old child and the highly qualified educators provide an enriching curriculum which addresses all learning domains within a balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. Group activities support positive interactions among children and educators assist children in learning conflict resolution, problem-solving and other important social skills. Some of the four-year-old children are also enrolled in a part-time Preschool class and use this group for wrap-around care. The Program works with families to determine the best placement for each child- depending on the number of hours for which a child is enrolled. |
